A home inspection is broad survey of the condition and function of a property, as performed by a licensed home inspector (in some areas of the United States, this function is performed by a licensed or certified general contractor inspector. A home inspection investigates the various systems and freatures of a home, including the foundation, structure, major appliances (including HVAC systems) and the home inspector may make recommendations for further, more specific inspections. A home inspection will also look for any water or mold damage that is visible or implied.
